BULLHEAD CITY, AZ (Aug. 18, 2025) -- David E. Schott, FACHE, has been named permanent chief executive officer of Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARMC), effective September 7. Schott is a seasoned healthcare leader with nearly a decade of executive experience in hospitals and healthcare organizations in Ohio, Georgia, and Arizona.
Most recently, he served as chief administrative officer at Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC), a multi-campus healthcare system in Kingman, Arizona, where he recruited numerous full-time physicians, boosted employee retention, and implemented strategic initiatives to enhance capacity and services.
“David’s familiarity with Mohave County will serve him well in this new role,” said Teri Tomlinson, chairwoman of the WARMC Board of Trustees, adding that she believes he is an excellent fit as the administration team leader. “We are very excited with the energy that he will bring to our hospital. We have a vibrant C-Suite - I am inspired by their creativity, energy levels and vision - and with David leading this team, they will be unstoppable.”
Prior to joining the Kingman hospital, Schott served as chief operating officer at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia.
“I’m honored to join the team at WARMC and continue building on the hospital’s strong legacy of care and service to our community,” Schott said. “I look forward to working alongside our physicians, nurses, and team members to further advance patient care, support innovation, and ensure that every person who walks through our doors receives compassionate, high-quality treatment. Together, we will continue to strengthen the health and well-being of the community we serve.”
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio State University, a Master of Science in public health from Tulane University, and both an MBA and Doctor of Public Health from Georgia Southern University.
Schott is a long-time Rotarian who values community engagement, and he looks forward to contributing to the philanthropic and civic life of the Colorado River Valley.
Tomlinson added her appreciation for the staff’s patience and board’s diligence during the extended search.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to the board of trustees for their thoughtful leadership and many hours dedicated to the search process. Their commitment has been instrumental in ensuring a strong future for Western Arizona Regional Medical Center,” Tomlinson said. “We also offer our heartfelt thanks to Dalton Homer, who stepped in from his role as assistant chief executive officer to serve as Interim CEO. Dalton’s steady leadership and dedication during this transition have been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for his continued service. Our gratitude extends to all hospital leaders, physicians, and team members for their continued focus on providing excellent care to our community.”
