Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the United States. Fortunately, advances in diagnosing and treating heart-related diseases and conditions are increasing as well. From prevention methods and education to cardiac rehabilitation, WARMC offers a comprehensive cardiovacular program.

Cardiovascular Team - WARMC is proud to offer our communities a team approach to cardiac care. From our experienced cardiologists to our dedicated staff of nurses, technicians and educators, our patients can be confident they are cared for by the best.

Screenings and Wellness - WARMC offers periodic screenings throughout the year to help make people aware of heart conditions before they become a problem. Blood pressure checks, cholesterol checks, hypertension evaluations, and many other screenings and educational offerings are available. Call (928) 704-6721 for more information.

Emergency Department - Physicians and staff in the Emergency Department are recognized with one of the best records for evaluation and treatment of heart-related emergencies in the state.

Diagnostic Services (Special Services and Imaging Services) - WARMC offers stress testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT scanning, and other types of diagnostic testing to diagnose heart-related problems.

Cardiovascular Laboratory - Our multi-functional Cardiovsacular Lab now has the capability of performing coronary balloon angioplasty and coronary stenting. These two new services were introduced in July 2003. In addition, WARMC performs catheterization procedures, cardiac pacemaker procedures, balloon pump placements, angiograms, aortic and leg runoff studies, peripheral angioplasty and stent placements, and thrombolitic therapies. Our modern equipment benefits our patients and physicians by allowing for high-resolution imaging, resulting in high quality filming.

Telemetry Unit - WARMC has a 30-bed Telemetry Unit that provides 24-hour monitoring of patients needing special treatment and observation after a heart-related event. The Telemetry Unit offers personalized care with a high tech touch.

Intensive Care Unit - WARMC offers a 20-bed ICU for our most critically ill cardiac patients.

In-House Education - Dietary counseling and "heart-to-heart" education sessions are available to patients before they leave the hospital. Having a good understanding of the modifications that need to be made once a patient has returned home from the hospital, is critical to long term success with a heart related illness.

Cardiac Rehabilitation - A center dedicated to the care of patients living with heart disease. Following a cardiac event, such as a heart attack or bypass surgery, the Cardiac Rehabilitation staff provide Phase II and III rehabilitation services. Their goal is to strengthen the heart muscle, increase endurance, improve physical strength and return to independence with an improved lifestyle. The program is a combination of supervised exercise and education done on an individual basis according to the patient's needs, age, physical limitations, and abilities.
