It is very important that you have your insurance identification cards with you when you are admitted to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. This enables us to provide proper billing, verify insurance benefits pr
omptly and obtain pre-approval for HMO patients before receiving services.
You will be asked upon admission to pay any insurance co-payment or deductible not covered by your insurance. If you do not have insurance, you will be asked to pay for your services as they are rendered. We accept major credit cards, checks, and cash. As a courtesy to you, the hospital will bill your insurance company. If your insurance company requests additional information from you, please respond as soon as possible. A delay in returning the requested information will also delay payment to your account. If a Medicare beneficiary (non-HMO enrollee) is going to receive services that the facility believes to be non-covered items and/or services, an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) will be given to the beneficiary in advance of furnishing these services. The approved ABN includes agreement to pay language as a matter of full disclosure to the beneficiary. A beneficiary who is properly notified and who receives a service that is subsequently denied payment for the reasons cited on the ABN can be held liable, whether or not the beneficiary agreed to make payment. The hospital will bill and appeal any denials from your insurance company as a courtesy to you.
